Here’s a few links of blogs that I used to research my trips. Some of the sites are old and hard to read, but they have useful information that helped my decision making process.
  • PanAm Bike Ride – Written by Matt who rode over 14,000 miles. Bonus… he lives in Lincoln! I got to meet with him before I left for South America and he shared many valuable tips with me. It was also nice just talking to someone who has done it before and hearing some crazy stories. He convinced me to ride the Carretera Austral.
  • Me, Bob, and Surly – The final reason I chose a trailer over paniers. I found most of my logistical information from this site.
  • Biker Tony – Good daily descriptions, although I don’t plan on biking as hard…
  • Bums on Wheels – Good daily updates, road advisories, and routes. This guy used to be a programmer too. It’s good to get the highs and lows to know what to expect.
  • Andes by Bike – Random, relevant information.
