Fat Bike

On January 7, 2014

In preparation for Iceland, I purchased my transportation. Take a look at the beautiful 3.8″ wheels on that golden aluminum frame. Decked out with a 2×11 drive train (top of the line SRAM) to beat those killer hills with all my gear, yet fast enough to cruise at a steady clip. I’ve decided to put a rear rack and two Salsa Everything Cages on the front. The standard ultralight bikepacking kit won’t allow me to fit my tent and sleeping bag. They’re just too bulky.

So what are the plans currently? I’m going to be doing some light mountain biking and towards the end of the month some snow biking on my mini vacation. Needless to say, I’m pretty excited.
